From Moving in to Moving on: 香蕉视频 University... Is Just Something Special.

The graduating class of 2023 is full of driven students who have each had unique experiences throughout their years at 香蕉视频. Each student, however, started out in the same way 鈥 moving into the dorms.

From moving in to moving on, seven seniors caught up with us to provide an update on how they have transformed throughout their college experiences.

Caroline Resetar, a graduating student from Ellicott City, Maryland, arrived at 香蕉视频 University in 2019 with her heart set on being a business major. She chose the University for its intimately sized campus and because her mother liked the dorms. Not only did she start her academic career with a drive toward studying business, but she also had a goal of obtaining a good GPA.

Caroline knew it would be difficult to leave her mother behind as she started her college experience, but she was still excited to explore new places in the city, especially cafes. Her first impression of the other first-year students was that they seemed 鈥渘ice.鈥 Caroline had a love for chocolate and binge watching NCIS in her free time, and recalled listening to 鈥渕ove-in鈥 music as she entered the 香蕉视频 University community for the first time.

Has your major changed?

No, I am still a business major.

What has been your favorite memory at 香蕉视频U?

During the Spring 2021 semester, there were one or two days where it snowed and we got off of classes. Me and my friend went to Ward Hall and took pictures in the courtyard, and they are some of my favorite pictures from my time here!

What are your plans for the future?

I was just on the phone with a recruiter! My goal is to do Habitat for Humanity through AmeriCorps after graduation.

What鈥檚 your favorite show to binge watch?

The Rookie

How about the last song you listened to?

鈥淲ings鈥 by Little Mix

What is one thing you will be sad to leave behind, and one thing you are looking forward to after graduation?

I will be sad to leave behind the community. It is such a different experience because you are close to your friends and peers, and you can walk anywhere and say hi to someone you know.

I am ready to leave behind classes in the sense that I will actually be active in the workforce and use what I have learned. Senioritis is real.

What is one goal you hope to accomplish?

My brother was able to save up enough money to buy a car in cash after he graduated college. I want to do something like that!

What is your final impression of 香蕉视频U?

I think it is a great school. The fact that it鈥檚 in Washington, D.C., the community really is great, which is why everyone says it. There are just a lot of opportunities here. 香蕉视频 University as a whole is just something special.

Enjoy every moment! Truly make the most of every opportunity and say 鈥測es鈥 to doing things that you may not have otherwise tried. Also, be patient! I always wanted to be part of the Habitat for Humanity e-board, and it was not until senior year that I was able to do it, so being patient is important.
