Our Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Identity: In Service to Church & Nation

Ï㽶ÊÓƵ is unique among universities in the United States — even among Ï㽶ÊÓƵ universities. We are the national university of the Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Church in America, founded in 1887 by the bishops of the country with the approval of the Holy See. We take seriously our sacred responsibility to uphold the traditions of the Church and serve our nation, and we believe that students can thrive in a place where reason and faith thrive.

Opportunities to Grow Deeper in Faith

Ï㽶ÊÓƵ University offers numerous opportunities for you to grow deeper in Christian faith. Our goal is to prepare students for a life beyond their college years, inviting you to mature in spirituality through campus prayer, sacraments, catechesis, community, and service.

You will find a dedicated team of lay and religious staff serving in Campus Ministry, over 120 student ministry leaders in various roles, and daily opportunities for Mass at our many campus chapels. We are also graced with a location next door to The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, the largest Roman Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Church in North America, which has more than 80 chapels and oratories open to worship for the community and our students.
