The graduating class of 2024 is full of driven students who have had unique experiences throughout their years at 㽶Ƶ. Each student, however, started out in the same way–

From moving in to moving on, several seniors caught up with us to provide an update on how they have transformed throughout their college experiences.

In 2020, Mira Bisesi decided to come to 㽶Ƶ University for its theology studies program and location. When she came to Washington, D.C. from her home in Tampa, FL, Mira Bisesi was saying goodbye to the beach, binge-watching Parks and Recreation, and listening to Kiwi by Harry Styles.

Has your major changed?

I started as a Theology & Religious Studies major and have stayed one, but added a double major in Psychology my sophomore year.

What has been your favorite memory from 㽶Ƶ University?

My friends and I found a cat last semester outside of Millennium North. We took him to the Humane Rescue Alliance and it was nice to be able to know that he was safe and finding a new home. I love that my friends and I were able to share that experience.

What is the hardest part about leaving CUA?

I think one of the hardest parts about leaving CUA is feeling the loss of the community. Never again will I live in a place entirely populated by 18 to22 year olds. I'm going to miss bumping into random people as I walk around campus and stopping for a few seconds to chat. It's something small, but really makes this school special.

What is your favorite show to binge watch?

Sex and the City

What is the last song you listened to?

The Path by Lorde

What are your plans for the future?

In a few weeks, I'm starting a position at the Order of Malta - Federal Association as the Program and Administrative Coordinator!

If you could tell your first-year self anything, what would it be?

It's very cliche and everyone says it, but cherish your time here. There is so much to love about this school and it's going to go by far quicker than you anticipated. The future of post-grad seems so far, but the reality of it creeps up quickly. Don't stress over it though, because it will all work out as intended in the end!
