Participate in service projects on Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Hundreds of Ï㽶ÊÓƵ University of America students, faculty and staff are expected to take part in the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service Jan. 16. 

Campus community members will travel across Washington, D.C. to make food for the hungry, clean parks and neighborhoods, visit the elderly and to serve those in need. Sites for service include the Franciscan Monastery, St. Mary's Cemetery, So Others Might Eat (SOME), the Anacostia River Keeper and more.

They will gather in the Przybyla Center Great Rooms at 8 a.m., with breakfast and transportation provided. Participants should bring their own reusable water bottle and a mask. Those serving should dress for the weather, while wearing Ï㽶ÊÓƵ University clothing if possible, close-toed shoes, long pants and clothes that could get dirty.
