Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to frequently asked questions for individuals considering graduate admission at 香蕉视频 University.

You can find a list of available programs on our Program Finder. The Program Finder allows you to search by degree type (ex. Master's, Doctorate, etc.), as well as by program name and interest area.

Once you submit your application, you will check its status in the application portal. 

Many programs do not require an application fee. For more information, please contact our Graduate Admission Office at cua-gradadmissions@cua.edu.

  • For master's degree programs, the deadlines are as follow:
    • Domestic Students: 
      • August 15 for fall term 
      • December 15 for spring term 
      • April 1 for summer term
    • International Students: 
      • July 1 for fall term 
      • November 1 for spring term
      • April 1 for summer term
    • Please note: While these are general application deadlines, please refer to your program鈥檚 admission page for specific deadlines. 
  • Ph.D. Candidates: Please refer to your program admission page for the deadline.

In order for a transcript to be considered official, it must be sent to us directly from the previous institution. Please have the official transcript sent to em-operations@cua.edu or via mail at:

Please note: Unofficial copies of transcripts may be accepted for an initial review of your application. You will have until the end of your first registered semester to have the official transcript(s) submitted to us.

For English proficiency test scores, please make sure the verification link is present on the document you upload. 

When you apply, please select the certificate for your program of interest.

Yes! When you apply, please select 鈥淣on-degree seeking鈥 as your application type.

  • Additional documents outside of the required items can be uploaded in the 鈥淎ctivities鈥 section of the application. They may also be sent directly to em-operations@cua.edu. Please make sure to include your application number in your email.
  • If a letter of recommendation is not an admission requirement for your intended program of study, you may have your recommender send it directly to em-operations@cua.edu for upload. 

When you submit your application, you will receive a confirmation email with your application number in the subject line.

To see your application status, log into . If additional items are still needed, a checklist will appear in your portal, noting the outstanding requirements. Please note, transcripts will appear as 鈥榥ot received鈥 until an official copy is submitted. 

Most master鈥檚 programs do not require GRE test scores for admission. Please be sure to check the admission tab on each program webpage.

  • For domestic students, please refer to our .
  • For departmental assistantship opportunities, students may reach out to their intended department for additional information. These are limited and subject to availability.
  • For international students, please contact the International Admission team at cua-international@cua.edu.

Applicants may defer up to one (1) academic year from their original start term. Please contact cua-gradadmissions@cua.edu with your deferral request.

Transferable credits are determined internally by the individual departments. Please reach out to your intended program for additional information.

  • You will receive an email informing you a decision on your application has been made. To see your decision letter, this will be posted in your .

You must hold, or expect to hold before enrollment, a U.S. bachelor鈥檚 degree (or its international equivalent) from a recognized college or university. In addition, if you are an international student, you must meet the university鈥檚 minimum requirements for English proficiency.
